Sustainable Development Challenge Grants
(back to CBEP)

The Sustainable Development Challenge Grant Program was a nationally competitive community grant program available from 1996 through 1999. Under this program, 123 projects were funded in communities across the United States. Each of these projects demonstrated an innovative solution to specific urban or rural environmental problems related to air and water quality, toxic substances, and/or solid waste management.
