Brownfields
encourages economic development and cooperation to prevent, assess, safely clean up, and sustainably reuse brownfields.

Cleaning Up Our Land, Water and Air - EPA conducts and supervises investigation and cleanup actions at a variety of sites. Cleanups may be done by EPA, other federal agencies, states or municipalities, or the company or party responsible for the contamination. Cleanup may also refer to the reuse and redevelopment of sites, such as under the Brownfields initiative whereby abandoned or under-used commercial and industrial sites are cleaned of environmental contamination and reclaimed for productive use.

OPPT's Community Assistance Program
community-based programs which are designed to address environmental problems faced by communities by linking government with citizens and other stakeholders to achieve long-term environmental preservation

Consumer Labeling Initiative
a voluntary, cooperative effort to foster pollution prevention and empower consumer choice by the use of household consumer product labels.

EPA Customer Service Program
The CSP is designed to enable the agency and all who work at EPA to become more customer focused.

EMPACT - Environmental Monitoring for Public Access and Community Tracking (EMPACT) is a new approach to working with communities to collect, manage, and present environmental information, which aims to make timely, accurate, and understandable environmental information available to millions of people in metropolitan areas across the country so that communities and individuals can make informed, day-to-day decisions about their lives.

Endocrine Disruptors Research Initiative
provides coordination across the federal government related to examine the hypothesis that there are chemicals present in the environment that, by virtue of their ability to interact with the endocrine system, are causing a variety of adverse health effects.

Energy Star Programs
works with the private sector developing cutting-edge, voluntary partnerships for the production and use of energy-efficient equipment.

Envirofacts
EPA's Data Warehouse that integrates data extracted monthly from five facility (or site) based EPA program systems.

Environmental Finance Program
seeks to lower costs, increase investment, and build capacity by creating partnerships with state and local governments and the private sector to fund environmental needs.

Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program - The Exchange Network Grant Program provides funding to States, Territories, and Federally Recognized Indian Tribes to support the development of Environmental Information Exchange Network. The Exchange Network is an Internet- and standards-based, secure information systems network that supports the electronic collection, exchange, and integration of high-quality data. Funding for the grant program has been provided through annual congressional appropriations for the EPA.

Environmental Justice Initiative
serves as a focal point for ensuring that communities comprised predominately of minority or low income populations receive protection under environmental laws.

Environmental Technology Verification Program
verifies the performance of innovative technical solutions to problems that threaten human health or the environment.

Lead Programs
information on all aspects of the federal lead poisoning prevention program, with a special focus on the efforts within EPA's Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT).

National Environmental Monitoring Initiative
links large-scale survey information and remote sensing with ecological process research at a network of multi-resource, intensive monitoring areas.

National Environmental Performance Track Program - Designed to recognize and encourage top environmental performers -- those who go beyond compliance with regulatory requirements to attain levels of environmental performance and management that benefit people, communities, and the environment.

National Library Network Program - this site offers information about the network of libraries supporting the Agency mission and offers access to each library by their location and collection strengths.

Sunwise Schools Program - This program provides materials to help teachers educate students in K-6 about protecting themselves from overexposure to the sun's ultraviolet radiation.
