These reports attempt to answer a series of key questions using the best available indicators and scientifically sound data to describe what EPA knows - and what it doesn't know - about the current state of the nation's environment. In addition, the reports highlight the information gaps and challenges that must be addressed in order to better answer key questions in the future. In the fall of 2003, EPA initiated a process to gain feedback on the Draft Reports on the Environment and Draft Technical Document. EPA held a series of public meetings around the country that involved representatives of various EPA stakeholder groups and other interested parties. Download the National Dialogue Summary Report to view a summation of the feedback. Also, please read our updated Fact Sheet. Learn more about the EPA's Next Steps for the Draft Report
