Located in the Office of the Administrator, the Office of Policy, Economics, and Innovation is the primary policy arm of EPA. We work with all other parts of EPA and the federal government to provide critical analytic and management support across three broad areas:

President's Management Agenda
The President's Management Agenda Exit disclaimer sets the charge for EPA to focus on results and improve how we manage our policies, programs and projects to meet the Agency's mission. Find out more about how EPA manages for results.

Regulatory Management

EPA centrally manages its regulatory agenda and the process by which each regulation is developed. Learn more about how this careful and sometimes lengthy process works.

Economic Analyses

Economics is one of the basic sciences that routinely guides EPA decision- making. The National Center for Environmental Economics provides EPA with the expertise to take economic issues, such as benefits and costs, into account.

The Infography Exit disclaimer cited the NCEE Web site as one of "Six Superlative Sources" for environmental economics information.

Innovative Approaches

Innovation is the key to environmental progress. From voluntary partnerships to market-based incentives to new technologies, EPA's National Center for Environmental Innovation is testing a variety of ideas and approaches that can achieve results. Learn more about the many exciting initiatives underway.

For more information about activities and events related to environmental innovation, see the Innovation Listserver.
