Previous EMPACT Meetings and Workshops
EMPACT sponsors a series of workshops, meetings and conferences
throughout the year to bring our EMPACT Program staff, project staff and
partners together to network, address common themes in real-time environmental
monitoring, information management or communication and to share the expertise
and diversity of the staff working on our EMPACT projects.

National Environmental Monitoring Technology Conference Held September
19th - 20th 2000 ~ Hynes Convention Center, Boston, MA. The EMPACT
Program was the primary sponsor of this symposium whichwas one of
the Nation's most comprehensive conference in 2000 on environmental
monitoring and related technologies, programs, and applications. The
conference was held in the heart of downtown Boston.

EMPACT National Meeting on Community Involvement
Held July 26th - 27th 2000 ~ St. Paul, MN
This meeting provided a forum for EMPACT project representatives to
discuss challenges and solutions pertaining to community involvement.
The Meeting also focused upon exploring opportunities to improve current
methods of providing monitoring information to the public and building
effective partnerships.

EMPACT Monitoring Coordination Workshop
Held May 2nd - 4th 2000 ~ Baltimore, MD
This workshop allowed EMPACT project representatives to discuss challenges
and solutions pertaining to real-time monitoring, and to explore opportunities
to improve comparability across EMPACT and beyond.
