  • Brownfields Envirofacts/EnviroMapper Tools Now Available for Use on the Web
    EPA's Office of Brownfields Cleanup and Redevelopment (OBCR) has introduced two new tools available via the Brownfields Web site - Envirofacts and EnviroMapper. These tools allow users to obtain location-specific data regarding Brownfields Pilot/Grantee areas and select properties. Through these tools, users can access and map EPA Brownfields environmental data included in EPA's Brownfields Management System (BMS), as well as other EPA databases. Users can access Envirofacts to learn more about the brownfields environmental information in their area or they can access EnviroMapper to generate maps of areas served by Brownfields Grantees and select Brownfields properties.   • 42 States, Puerto Rico, Five Tribes Share Record $75.4 Million in Brownfields Grants
    Communities in 42 states and Puerto Rico will share more than $75 million in EPA Brownfields grants to help revitalize former industrial and commercial sites, turning them from problem properties to productive community use.
