Post-Doctoral Opportunities with EPA's National Health and Environmental Effects Laboratory

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Research and Development, National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory (NHEERL) is seeking applicants with a doctoral level degree (PhD, MD, DVM) for openings in their federal post-doctoral program. These post-doctoral candidates conduct high priority environmental research in a wide variety of areas important to protecting human health and the environment.

Post-doctoral positions to conduct research on environmental health are anticipated for divisions located in Research Triangle Park and Chapel Hill, NC. Post-doctoral positions to conduct ecology research are anticipated for divisions located in Duluth, MN; Gulf Breeze, FL; Corvallis and Newport, OR; and Narragansett, RI.

These 3-year appointments offer full federal benefits with a salary range of $40,454 to $76,261, commensurate with qualifications. Applications are being accepted during 2004 during these time periods: May 3 through June 30 and September 1 through October 29.
