Welcome to the Red River Valley Agricultural Research Center!

Fargo, North Dakota

Established in 1964, the Metabolism and Radiation Research Laboratory (since renamed the Biosciences Research Laboratory) was constructed on the campus of the North Dakota Agriculture College.  The mission of the laboratory, as stated in The Forum, was to obtain information leading to "safe, cheap methods for the control of plant and animal pests and the safe use by livestock growers of feed additives or alternatives."  Over the years, the mission and facilities have expanded to include the Northern Crop Science Laboratory, the Wheat Quality Laboratory and the Red River Valley Potato Research Work Site in East Grand Forks, MN.  Collectively they form the Red River Valley Agricultural Research Center (RRVARC).
