Important Notice Regarding Adoptions from Sarawak

U.S. citizens contemplating adoption in Sarawak are advised to exercise extreme caution and should expect delays with no guarantee of approval for a U.S. immigrant visa for the adopted child. Sarawak's adoption law is separate and distinct from that of the rest of Malaysia and may not meet the requirements of U.S. immigration law. Moreover, local adoption facilitators' knowledge of and compliance with U.S. immigration law is unknown at this time.
