At 12:30 p.m., the Senate will recess until 2:15 p.m. for the weekly policy lunches. At 2:15 p.m., the Senate will take up Executive Calendar #915, Francis J. Harvey, of California, to be Secretary of the Army, for 3 hours of debate, with 2 hours for Senator Reed (RI) and 1 hour for Senator Warner. Following the use or yielding back of time, the Senate will VOTE on confirmation. If all time is used, the VOTE will occur at 5:15 p.m.
