Top NSF Quality Guidelines

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) issued government-wide guidelines under section 515 of the Treasury and General Government Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2001 (Public Law 106-554) to ensure and maximize the quality, objectivity, utility and integrity of information disseminated by Federal agencies. As a result the National Science Foundation has developed corresponding DRAFT Information Quality Guidelines (44K) .

Top SRS Commitment to Quality

The Division of Science Resources Statistics (SRS) of the National Science Foundation (NSF) is one of 14 organizations in the federal statistical system represented on the Interagency Council on Statistical Policy (ICSP). Federal statistical organizations seek to maintain their independence in the production of their statistics; the confidentiality of information provided by respondents; and high quality standards. These features foster credibility with data users and trust among data providers. The statistical organizations have issued a response to the OMB guidelines (64K) .
