GSA's wreckers and carriers contracts cover high quality towing and recovery vehicles with enhanced features and a full compliment of standard and optional equipment for all agency’s automotive transport needs.

Wreckers

Wreckers are versatile recovery vehicles with the capability of towing cars, pickups, and light, medium and heavy trucks. Wrecker tow capacity ranges from 6,000 lbs. to 27,000 lbs.

Carriers

Rollback carriers are engineered to retrieve and transport cars, light trucks, ground maintenance vehicles, light machinery and a wide range of cargo. Payload on deck capacity ranges from 6,000 lbs. to 30,000 lbs.

• 978, Light Rollbacks – 4x2, 19,000lb, GVWR, 19Ft.
• 979, Medium Rollbacks – 4x2, 25,500lb GVWR, 21Ft.
• 980, Medium Rollbacks – 4x2, 33,000lb GVWR, 22Ft.
• 981, Heavy Rollbacks – 6x4, 62,000lb GVWR, 26Ft.

Ordering Procedures

The wreckers and carriers program utilizes a multiple vendor concept, providing GSA’s federal customers with a variety of body manufacturers and truck chassis from which to choose. GSA’s multi-vendor program is comprised of vendors awarded indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts. Wreckers and carriers will be available for order through GSA's online ordering program AutoChoice, www.autochoice.gsa.gov. AutoChoice allows customers to view products, contract pricing and optional equipment as well as place the order online. All wreckers and carriers will undergo GSA inspection before being delivered to the customer.
