Environmental Laws/Antarctic

The Office of the General Counsel assists the Foundation with a variety of domestic and international environmental law issues. For example, OGC assists the Foundation to ensure compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act. In this role, OGC chairs the Committee on Environmental Matters (See 45 CFR Part 640). OGC also works closely with the Office of Polar Programs to ensure compliance with the Antarctic Conservation Act.
