This map show the locations of U.S. EPA and New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYCDEP) asbestos air monitoring stations in Manhattan. Select a station to view asbestos air monitoring data.

While the vast majority of samples taken by EPA and NYCDEP show very consistent results, occasional variations in readings can occur because of variations in sampling methods, relative sample duration, wind shifts, exact placement of field monitor, and ongoing construction activity at time of sampling.
