USGS Geo-data Explorer (GEODE)
Use GEO-DATA Explorer (GEODE) to access, view, and download information from geo-spatial databases containing a broad spectrum of data produced by the USGS and other government agencies.

USGS Core Research Center (CRC)
The Core Research Center (CRC) was established in 1974 by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) to preserve valuable rock cores for use by scientists and educators from government, industry, and academia.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Subcommittee is tasked with overseeing the use of energy and mineral resources located on lands owned or managed by the federal government. As such, the Subcommittee strives to maintain a healthy balance between production and conservation.

Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) Geothermal Program
INEEL works in partnership with U.S. industry to establish geothermal energy as an economically competitive contributor to the U.S. energy supply. Since 1974, the INEEL has been a key laboratory in executing the Department of Energy’s Geothermal Program.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM)
An agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior, administers 262 million acres of America's public lands, located primarily in 12 Western States. The BLM sustains the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL)
The newest of DOE’s national laboratories, NETL has been at the forefront of research to advance fossil energy exploration, supply, and end-use technologies.

The Minerals Management Service (MMS)
A a bureau in the U.S. Department of the Interior, is the federal agency that manages the nation's natural gas, oil and other mineral resources on the outer continental shelf (OCS).

The Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Created by Congress in 1977, is a statistical agency of the U.S. Department of Energy. We provide policy-independent data, forecasts, and analyses to promote sound policy making, efficient markets, and public understanding regarding energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.

National Petroleum Technology Office
DOE office responsible for carrying out the National Petroleum Technology Program (NPTP). The Mission of the NPTP is to move our Nation toward a reliable, economic oil supply, enhance U.S. technological leadership and protect the environment.

U.S. Department of State
The lead U.S. foreign affairs agency, and the Secretary of State is the President's principal foreign policy adviser.

Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
Created in 1947 with the signing of the National Security Act by President Truman. The National Security Act charged the Director of Central Intelligence (DCI) with coordinating the nation’s intelligence activities and correlating, evaluating and disseminating intelligence which affects national security.

The Association of American State
Geologists (AASG)

The American Geological Institute
A nonprofit federation of 40 geoscientific and professional associations that represent more than 100,000 geologists, geophysicists, and other earth scientists. Founded in 1948, AGI provides information services to geoscientists, serves as a voice of shared interests in our profession, plays a major role in strengthening geoscience education, and strives to increase public awareness of the vital role the geosciences play in mankind's use of resources and interaction with the environment.

The Geological Society of America
The mission of GSA is to advance the geosciences, to enhance the professional growth of its members, and to promote the geosciences in the service of humankind.

American Geophysical Union (AGU)
A nonprofit scientific organization, who mission is to promote the scientific study of Earth and its environment in space and to disseminate the results to the public; to promote cooperation among scientific organizations involved in geophysics and related disciplines; to initiate and participate in geophysical research programs; to advance the various geophysical disciplines through scientific discussion, publication, and dissemination of information.

Geologists (AAPG)

Founded in 1917 the AAPG is currently the world's largest professional geological society.

The American Petroleum Institute (API)
The primary trade association representing the oil and natural gas industry in the United States. Our membership includes more than 400 corporations involved in all aspects of the oil and gas industry.

The Geological Survey of Canada (GSC)
Part of the Earth Sciences Sector of Natural Resources Canada. The GSC is Canada's premier agency for geoscientific information and research, with world-class expertise focusing on geoscience surveys, sustainable development of Canada's resources, environmental protection, and technology innovation.

GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam (GFZ)
Public Law Foundation

Research in global geoscientific themes and
Joint Research with universities and other research institutions in national as well as international cooperation.

The International Energy Agency
based in Paris, is an autonomous agency linked with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The IEA is the energy forum for 26 Member countries. IEA Member governments are committed to taking joint measures to meet oil supply emergencies. They have also agreed to share energy information, to co-ordinate their energy policies and to co-operate in the development of rational energy programmes.

Resources for the Future (RFF)
A nonprofit and nonpartisan think tank located in Washington, DC that conducts independent research – rooted primarily in economics and other ocial sciences – on environmental and natural resource issues.

The National Mining Association (NMA)
is the voice of the American mining industry in Washington, D.C. NMA is the only national trade organization that represents the interests of mining before Congress, the Administration, federal agencies, the judiciary and the media.

The Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME)
An international society of professionals in the minerals industry. The SME membership is more than 13,000 strong, with members in nearly 100 countries.

Society for Sedimentary Geology
The society’s mission is to disseminate scientific information about sedimentary geology to the global community to further its understanding and use. Because sedimentary geology is a basic building block of geology, our members range from the academic, research, energy and environmental areas.

United States Association for Energy Economics
A nationwide non-profit organization of business, government, academic and other professionals that advances the understanding and application of economics across all facets of energy development and use, including theory, business, public policy and environmental considerations.

The University of Oklahoma Sarkeys
Energy Center

The most comprehensive center of knowledge in the petroleum industry.The University of Oklahoma Sarkeys Energy Center includes six interdisciplinary institutes and a special institute which focuses on the Western Hemisphere.
