Which Browsers does the Custom News Service Support?
The Custom News Service Web pages adhere to the HTML 3.0 spec. The service often include links to Mail (mailto:) URLs. In addition, we use GIF or JPEG files for in-line images. We also use JavaScript for user inputs throughout the service.

What is JavaScript?
JavaScript is a simple scripting language for web pages that allows to include interactive features that make Internet content more dynamic. In order to view the JavaScript effects on web pages, it must be enabled in your browser's preference settings. CNS makes use of Javascript, but always provides non-JavaScript alternatives.

What are Cookies and how are they Used on CNS?
CNS uses cookies in order to maintain session variables so the server can "remember" selections visitors made in an HTML form on a previous page. There is no intent from NSF to use cookies to track the activities of web users or to collect data on users without their knowledge.
