Tap Into Prevention: Drinking Water Information for Health Care Providers - A Continuing Education Video

This continuing education video explains potential health risks from exposure to microbial and chemical contaminants in drinking water and demonstrates actions health care providers can take in their practices. The video features doctors, nurses, and local health officials who discuss the connection between drinking water and health in their communities. EPA, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and its Agency for Toxic Substances and Diseases Registry jointly cosponsor this continuing education activity.

Apply for Continuing Education Credit

Continuing education credits are available for those who view the video and complete an online post test and evaluation (see instructions and accreditation/designation information). The following types of credits are available:

  • 1.25 Continuing Medical Education credit
  • 1.2 Continuing Nursing Education credit
  • 1.0 Continuing Education Contact Hour in Health Education, and
  • .1 Continuing Education Unit for those in other professions
