FEAMS User Group Begins Real-Time System Evaluation

On February 12, 2004, the FEA PMO kicked off the FEAMS User Group as the next step toward bringing the web-based Federal Enterprise Architecture Management System (FEAMS) online to agencies. Meeting at the White House Conference Center, the group received FEAMS background information from chief architect Bob Haycock, and discussed issues including administration, goals and work planning. Comprised of over 20 individual agency representatives, the user group is assisting in the Phase II FEAMS pilot launched in December 2003.

Using sample data from the FY04 budget process, user group members are actively testing specific aspects of the system and providing feedback on how FEAMS can best help Federal agencies identify government-wide opportunities for IT collaboration.

Participants in the inaugural FEAMS user group were identified by their agencies in December, and the group’s membership will expand following this phase of testing. If you have questions about your agency's participation in the FEAMS pilot, please contact your CIO. For general information on FEAMS, please e-mail support@feapmo.gov.
