Research and Related Subcommittee
The Research and Related Subcommittee (R&R) is one of three subcommittees of the IAEGC. It is chaired by Brad Stanford and is composed of representatives of numerous federal agencies that provide support for science, technology, education, the environment, and infrastructure as a way of promoting social and economic development. Research grants and contracts are awarded mostly to institutions of higher education but also to many other types of organizations to stimulate innovative research. Health, space, aviation, and other sciences represent several broad areas included in the research programs. The following agencies participate in the R&R Subcommittee:

U.S. Department of Agriculture

Air Force Office of Scientific Research

Army Medical Research (Acquisition Activity)

Army Research Office

Department of Education

Department of Health and Human Services

Department of State

Department of the Treasury

Department of Transportation

Environmental Protection Agency

General Services Administration

National Aeronautics and Space Administration

National Institutes of Health

National Science Foundation

Office of Naval Research

The R&R also works closely with the Federal Demonstration Partnership and other grantees in its efforts to represent the interest of the Research community in the development of a federal electronic grants process.
