Good Sam Club

The Organization: The Good Sam Club is the largest RV club in the world with over one million RVing families. The primary goal of the organization is to make RVing safer and more enjoyable, and to save members money through club-endorsed benefits and services.


Take Pride Effort: Will Link TPIA to annual Good Sam Clean Up Day, with 10,000 participants; TPIA activities at Great North American Rally; new award to Good Sam member who has exemplified the TPIA spirit in development

Garden Clubs of America Casey Tree Trust

The Organization: In May 2001 Casey Trees Endowment Fund was established as a non-profit organization by a $50 million grant from the Eugene B. Casey Foundation.  The mission of Casey Trees is to restore, enhance, and protect the urban tree canopy of Washington, DC. 


Take Pride Effort: Provided trees to be planted by Take Pride in America Volunteers at the June 12th event in Anacostia Park

National Outdoors Leadership School

The Organization: The National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) is the premier teacher of outdoor skills and leadership, offers 10 days to full semesters in the world's most spectacular wilderness classrooms. Since 1965, NOLS has been teaching its students how to climb, kayak, and navigate; how to camp without leaving a trace; how to stay warm and dry in the wilderness; how to cope with a backcountry emergency; and how to effectively lead others through such experiences.


Take Pride Effort: Will write an article in the NOLS newspaper, "The Leader" circulated to 48,000 graduates, partners and affiliates nationwide. Will lead roughly 2000 students into the back country of the nation's public lands. More than half
