University of Minnesota Alcohol Epidemiology Program Database of Enacted Alcohol Legislation for 1998, 1999, and 2000
Under the 21st Amendment of the United States, the individual states have primary authority to regulate the distribution and use of alcoholic beverages. Each state has enacted statutes that govern the distribution, taxation, sale, and consumption of alcoholic beverages within that state, as well as provisions regarding criminal and civil liability for harms resulting from the consumption of alcohol. The state law materials listed here provide the actual texts of alcohol bills enacted in 1998, 1999, and 2000 from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
