Antimicrobial Information Hotline
- provides direct answers to questions concerning current antimicrobial
issues. The information provided can cover issues relevant to any or all
antimicrobial pesticides including health & safety issues, registration
and reregistration issues, as well as information on pesticide laws, rules,
and regulations relating to antimicrobials.
Asbestos Program - Asbestos
is a mineral fiber. It has been determined that breathing high levels
of asbestos fibers can lead to an increased risk of lung cancer. Asbestos
is regulated under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
Chemical Registry System (CRS)
- The Chemical Registry System (CRS) is the EPA's central system for chemical
identification information and provides a common basis for identifying
chemicals listed in EPA regulations and data systems, and chemicals of
interest from other sources, such as publications.
Chemical Information
Collection and Data Development (Testing) - gathers health/safety
and exposure information on, requires testing of, and controls exposure
to chemical substances and mixtures.
Computational Toxicology -
The application of mathematical and computer models to predict adverse
effects and to better understand the mechanisms through which a given
chemical induces harm.
Endangered Species Protection Program
- provides protection for endangered species from the use of pesticides
and minimizes the impact of that protection on pesticide users.

repository for pollution prevention, compliance assurance, and enforcement

- provides access to the Inventory Update Rule of 1994 and the New River
Project, a project to gather information on the pollution around Mexicali,
Mexico in the vicinity of the New River.
Food Quality Protection Act
of 1996 Implementation Program - a common-sense approach to increase
the safety of our nation's food supply and protect the public health.
Green Chemistry - this
program seeks to promote pollution prevention and industrial ecology through
a partnership with the chemical industry.
International Pesticide
Activities - works to protect U.S. food safety standards, share work
with other countries, and support and influence activities to improve
the safety of pesticide use world-wide.
Lead Programs - information
on all aspects of the federal lead poisoning prevention program.
Mixed Waste Homepage
- a program to coordinate management of mixed waste containing radioactive
and hazardous waste.
The National Pesticide Information Center
(NPIC) - provides objective, science-based information about a variety
of pesticide-related subjects, including pesticide products, recognition
and management of pesticide poisonings, toxicology, and environmental
chemistry. NPIC also lists state pesticide regulatory agencies, and provides
links to their Web sites .
New Chemicals - responsible
for reviewing premanufacture notice (PMN) submissions and identifying
new substances that require regulatory action.
Oil Spill Program - information
about the U.S. EPA's program for preventing, preparing for, and responding
to oil spills that occur in and around inland waters of the United States.
Ozone Layer Protection
Program - contains information about the science of ozone depletion,
regulations in the US designed to protect the ozone layer, and more.
Pesticide Environmental Stewardship
Program - a voluntary program that forms partnerships with pesticide
users to reduce health and environmental risk and implement pollution
prevention strategies.
Pesticide Programs
on Worker Safety - a partnership with state agencies to implement
Worker Protection Standards and Certification and Training programs to
protect workers from risks posed by pesticides.
Pollutant Load Allocation
(Total Maximum Daily Loads) - provides information on EPA's Total
