The committee is chartered under the Federal Advisory Committee Act and
has been renewed every two years since its creation. The membership
is approximately 60 senior managers and experts representing state and
local
government, environmental and public interest groups, academic institutions,
unions, trade associations, utilities, industry, and other experts. The
CAAAC meets four times a year, normally in Washington, D.C. It provides
advice and counsel to EPA on a variety of important air quality policy
issues.
The committee has formed several subcommittees to provide more detailed
discussion and advice on many technical issues.
The CAAAC web site has been established to provide you
with up-to-date information on the activities and meetings of the CAAAC
and its subcommittees. The schedules and agenda for all major meetings,
issue papers, Committee and subcommittee meeting minutes, presentations
given at meetings, and published reports will be posted on this site.
Information on the site will be updated as events warrant.
To keep information current, EPA intends to delete
materials that become out of date. To that end, materials will typically
be retained for approximately 6 to 12 months. Materials no longer
available on this web site may be obtained from the
OAR
docket.
