Welcome to Region 3 eCycling

eCycling is a partnership among EPA Region 3, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia to develop an economically and environmentally sustainable collection, reuse, and recycling system for electronics that is based on the principle of shared responsibility among business (electronics manufacturers and retailers), government, and consumers..

Through the 14-month Region 3 eCycling Pilot, eCycling Partners worked with electronics manufacturers, electronics retailers, and electronics recyclers to collect and recycle unwanted computers, computer equipment, and televisions from residents and small businesses in the Mid-Atlantic States. The Final Report on the Mid-Atlantic States Electronics Recycling Pilot Project describes the Region 3 eCycling Pilot, presents the results of the Pilot, and summarizes key findings and lessons learned.
