Children's Health MonthEach October, EPA holds activities and events to help our nation discover the rewards of children’s health. Highlights of these events and activities can be found at the interagency Children’s Health Month Web site at www.childrenshealth.gov , which is a product of the President's Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children. The Web site provides details about children’s health topics that are important in October and year-round. The interagency Children’s Health Month Web site also includes a special calendar designed by EPA with an action step for each day of October - topics ranging from lead poisoning prevention, to food safety and school health. Simple steps like replacing mercury thermometers and protecting children from the sun will lead to healthier children and a healthier US. To order a hardcopy of the 2004 Children's Health Month Calendar (in English only), please call 1-800-490-9198 or order via the Internet at www.epa.gov/ncepihom.
