This new legislation establishes pesticide registration service fees for registration actions in three pesticide program divisions: Antimicrobials, Biopesticides and Pollution Prevention, and the Registration Divisions. The category of action, the amount of the pesticide registration service fee, and the corresponding decision review periods by year are prescribed in the statute. The goal is to create a more predictable evaluation process for affected pesticide decisions, and couple the collection of individual fees with specific decision review periods. The legislation also promotes shorter decision review periods for reduced-risk applications. The legislation (1.1 MB, PDF) becomes effective on March 23, 2004.

  • Overview of Fee Reduction Formula - EPA has developed formulas for determining the reductions in the registration service fee for actions which are partially completed.
