The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is partners with
state/tribal/territorial governments in the regulation of pesticides.
Regional Pesticide Programs, located within the regional offices throughout
the U.S., conduct enforcement activities, monitor pesticide imports, participate
in initiatives that identify and reduce the risk from pesticides, and
enter into assistance agreements with states/tribes/territories to develop
and maintain pesticide regulatory programs. Together, EPA and its partners
regulate the registration, manufacture, sale, distribution, use and disposal
of pesticides.
