*NEW FERA SITE
The TTNWeb Fate, Exposure, and Risk Analysis (FERA) site has been addeded and is now open to the public. The tools found on this website, which include EPA's Total Risk Integrated Methodology, will assist with the Environmental Protection Agency’s efforts to evaluate the health risks and environmental effects associated with exposure to “criteria” (six common air pollutants including ozone and particles) and toxic air pollutants.

*UATW is now ATW
The TTNWeb Unified Air Toxics Web site (UATW) has been redesigned and updated with a new look and is now known as the Air Toxics Web site (ATW). ATW is available from the TTNWeb home page under ATW. The reason for redesign was to make it consistent with the 4 components of the air toxics program that have recently been described in FR notices and other related current programs.

*FACA Web site re-opened
While the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) formed by EPA to obtain advice and recommendations on integrated approaches for implementing (NAAQS) for ozone and particulate matter is over, the information obtained during the process is considered valuable for an initiative to implement the 8-hour standards. The FACA Web site is re-opened to present what was done during the FACA process as a aid to implementing the new standards.

Information concerning the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) formed by EPA to obtain advice and recommendations on integrated approaches for implementing (NAAQS) for ozone and particulate matter, is not current information. It is therefore appropriate for the TTNWeb FACA Web site to be closed after presenting historical, static data well beyond the life of the FACA committees.

*Economics and Cost Analysis Support (ECAS) is now a TTNWeb Web site
The Economics and Cost Analysis Support (ECAS) Web site is now available as a TTNWeb Web site. Documents developed by the Innovative Strategies and Economics Group (ISEG) can now be found in one place. These documents include analyses of costs, benefits, and economic and regulatory impacts of air quality management strategies, programs, and regulations developed throughout the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS). ECAS is available from the TTNWeb Directory of Technical Sites page.

*Industrial Combustion Coordinated Rulemaking (ICCR) Web site discontinued
The Charter for the Industrial Combustion Coordinated Rulemaking (ICCR) Federal Advisory Committee was not renewed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Consequently, the Committee and the work groups which developed recommendations for the Committee to consider, no longer exist. The ICCR web site has been discontinued. Web pages have been developed for each of the regulations formerly associated with the ICCR. The Regulations are located on the UATW Web site under Combustion-Related Rules.

*Draft Periodic Monitoring Technical Reference Document (TRD)
The Draft Periodic Monitoring Technical Reference Document (TRD) is available for your review on the Emissions Measurement Center web site. The TRD is located under "Monitoring", then "Compliance Assurance Monitoring". The document provides general technical information and practical applications for complying with title V periodic monitoring requirements and presents specific examples of monitoring that satisfies the requirements. This document is intended to augment the Periodic Monitoring Guidance memorandum of September 15, 1998, not replace it. Please submit your comments on the draft document by June30, 1999, to Mr. Peter Westlin, via regular mail at U.S. EPA, Emissions Measurement Center (MD-19), Research Triangle Park, NC, 27711, or via email at westlin.peter@epa.gov. The TRD has been split into different files for easier downloading. The files are in both Word Perfect zipped and Adobe Acrobat format.

*Final Rule for Reducing Regional Transport of Ozone
EPA issued the Final Regional NOx Transport Rule requiring 22 eastern States and DC to submit State Implementation plans that address the regional transport of ground-level ozone through reductions in nitrogen oxides. This rule package is available from the OAR P&G; site Recent Actions Page.

*Introduction of the TTNWeb
The TTNWeb becomes the permanent Web site for the Technology Transfer Network (TTN). Sites that were formerly electronic bulletin boards are converting to the TTNWeb. Background information on the TTNWeb provides some explanation for this transition project. Links are provided to the intermediate TTN2000 Web sites until all are converted to the new TTNWeb structure.
*Name Change for the CAAA site
The site formerly listed as CAAA has a new name. Under the new TTNWeb the site is now listed as OAR P&G; on the TTNWeb Directory of Sites.
