Abstract:
The CAAA of 1990 require that State implementation plans (SIP's) for certain ozone nonattainment areas be revised to require the implementation of reasonably available control technology (RACT) for control of volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from sources for which EPA has already (or will) published Control Techniques Guidelines (CTG's). As the draft CTG and the industry report were being completed, EPA also began work on a national emission standard for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) for the wood furniture industry. This zipped document of guidelines for control of VOC emissions from wood furniture manufacturing operations is approximately 342 pages and can be downloaded in WP format.
