Estimating Nonfatal Traumatic Brain Injury Hospitalizations Using an Urban/Rural Index
This article presents the methods used to develop annual state-level estimates of nonfatal cases of traumatic brain injury resulting in hospitalization. The authors describe an improved model-based approach for estimating the annual number of cases.
