Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plans
Each National Estuary Program is charged with creating and implementing
a Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) that addresses
all aspects of environmental protection for the estuary, including issues
such as water quality, habitat, living resources, and land use. The CCMP
is based on a scientific characterization of the estuary, and is developed
and approved by a broad-based coalition of stakeholders. The CCMP establishes
priorities for action, research, and funding, and serves as a blueprint
to guide future decisions and activities related to the estuary.
The seventeen NEPs listed below have completed their plans as of Spring,
1998. Select a program to view its CCMP. Please note that some of these
links will transport you off the EPA server. We are working to bring all
17 completed CCMPs online. At the present time, only the CCMPs of those
programs marked with an asteric (*) are available. For information about
the management plans of National Estuary Programs whose CCMPs are not
yet online, contact the program
directly.
