As evidenced by the assessment made in relation to the National Science Foundation (NSF) Guidance on Executive Order 13166, there does not appear to be a current barrier for individuals with limited English proficiency accessing the programs and services provided by NSF. We will conduct an annual review to ensure that if circumstances change regarding individuals with limited English proficiency, we will implement appropriate changes to ensure we remain in compliance with Executive Order 13166.
NSF will place its Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Guidance for Recipients in the next and subsequent Grant Proposal Guides. NSF will also place this document, its Guidance for Executive Order 13166, "Improving Access to Services for Persons with Limited English Proficiency," and its LEP Guidance for Recipients on the NSF website.
In addition, language assistance if needed by an individual making contact with NSF, will be provided. To obtain this assistance or if you have any questions related to this policy, please contact the NSF Office of Equal Opportunity Programs.
