Browner Administrator U.S. Environmental Protection Agency I wish to congratulate the team of engineers from General Motors and the U.S. Department of Energy on the award they received today from the Partnership for a New Generation Vehicles. This award recognizes their outstanding technical achievement in the area of advanced fuel-cell technology and cleaner burning engines for the future. Their efforts reflect the leadership shown by the Clinton/Gore Administration and the U.S. automotive industry through their Partnership, which is helping create new technologies to meet the transportation needs of the 21st Century.
