PA NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED STATE MANAG. PLAN RULE

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16, 1996

EPA SPONSORS NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON PROPOSED STATE MANAGEMENT PLAN RULE

EPA is hosting a national workshop to discuss the Agency's proposed Pesticides and Groundwater State Management Plan (see June 26, Federal Register notice). The workshop will be on Aug. 26-27, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1900 Diagonal Road, Alexandria, Va. Through the development and use of state management plans, EPA is proposing to restrict the use of certain pesticides by providing states with options to protect groundwater in the most appropriate way for local conditions. The workshop will focus on an exchange of information to guide EPA and state partners through the development of this regulation. For more information or to register, contact Arty Williams at 703-305-5239.
