EPA EXTENDS COMMENT PERIOD TOXIC RELEASE INVENTORY INDUSTRY LIST EXPANSION PROPOSAL

EPA has extended by 30 days the comment period on the proposed rule to expand the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) to include additional industry groups which appeared in the Federal Register on June 27 (61 FR 33588). Notice of the extension appeared in the Federal Register on Aug. 29. Written comments on the proposed rule must be received by Sept. 25. The proposed rule is available electronically at gopher.epa.gov. Paper copies are available at EPA's OPPT Docket, Room E-G099, 401 M St. S.W., Washington, D.C.
