EPA ANNOUNCES CHARTER FOR NEW ORD BOARD OF SCIENTIFIC COUNSELORS

EPA's Office of Research and Development has established a Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) to evaluate and advise on the Agency's science and engineering research programs and management practices. The board, comprising nationally-known scientific and engineering experts, also will make recommendations on the use of scientific peer review at EPA. The BOSC will report directly to Dr. Robert J. Huggett, EPA's Assistant Administrator for Research and Development. The first meeting of the board, scheduled for this summer, will be announced in the Federal Register.
