EPA DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR McCABE AND PARTNERS TO
ANNOUNCE COMMUTER CHOICE LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE


Environmental Protection Agency Deputy Administrator W. Michael McCabe will announce on Oct. 17 ways to cut air pollution through the Commuter Choice Leadership Initiative with its partners that include U.S. companies, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and state and local governments. These organizations will be recognized for their incentives that encourage employees to commute in ways that cut air pollution and global warming pollution. The incentives include: transit subsidies, telecommuting, compressed work schedules and trading free parking spaces for cash. The benefits of these incentives include: increased worker productivity and reduced expenses for employers and employees.
