SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY PANEL TO REVIEW PESTICIDE
CUMULATIVE RISK ASSESSMENT CASE STUDY ON DEC. 7-8


The Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) convened to review a case study of the cumulative risk of 24 organophosphate pesticides will hold a public meeting on Dec.7-8. The SAP will review a case study to illustrate data use and the process for integrating multi-pathway exposures to 24 organophosphate pesticides from food, drinking water and residential sources. This topic will be divided into four sessions: cumulative risk assessment method for dietary (food) exposure, cumulative risk assessment for residential exposure, cumulative risk assessment for drinking water and integrated cumulative risk assessment. Information was published in the Federal Register (FR) on Nov. 3 on ways to submit written statements before the meeting or to request an opportunity to present an oral statement during the meeting. A meeting agenda and copies of EPA primary background documents are available at: www.epa.gov/scipoly/sap The FR notice also includes the purpose and background information on each of the topics for the meeting. EPA has postponed SAP discussion of the LifeLine\TM\ Model, initially scheduled for December 6. EPA will issue a new FR notice shortly regarding the new date for SAP review of the LifeLine\TM\ Model.
