PA WILLIAM YELLOWTAIL REAPPOINTED AS REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR

WILLIAM YELLOWTAIL REAPPOINTED AS REGIONAL ADMINISTRATOR

EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner has reappointed William P. Yellowtail as EPA’s Regional Administrator in Denver, Colo., beginning Sept. 2. Yellowtail resigned in March 1996 to run for Montana’s Congressional seat. As the first Native American to hold this position, he will direct the operations of more than 600 employees in Montana, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. He graduated in 1971 from Dartmouth College where he earned his bachelor’s degree of arts in geography and environmental studies. Yellowtail served in the Montana state legislature from 1984-1993 and on the Montana Environmental Quality Council.
