EPA’s NEW CHEMICALS PROGRAM RECOGNIZED FOR REGULATORY REINVENTION PROJECT


EPA’s New Chemicals Program will be recognized for its role in supporting industry efforts to develop environmentally friendly chemicals at an awards ceremony scheduled for Dec. 18, 9:30 a.m. at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The program is receiving a Vice Presidential Hammer Award for its involvement in promoting the development of a new detergent product that reduces environmental pollution. EPA’s partner in the program was Union Carbide, Danbury, Conn., who also will be recognized at the awards ceremony.
