NTC THREE DAY SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS IN MIAMI

NTC THREE DAY SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS IN MIAMI

FOR RELEASE: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 8, 1994

EPA Administrator Carol M. Browner will participate in the three day Summit of the Americas in Miami beginning tomorrow. All 34 freely elected leaders of the Western Hemisphere are scheduled to attend and chart a course for achieving economic growth and prosperity throughout the Western Hemisphere without destroying life-sustaining natural resources.

Browner will attend President Clinton's opening speech at noon on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Jackie Gleason Theater and attend afternoon receptions with private sector officials and officials of non-government organizations.

She will participate in the official U.S. greeting of the heads of state at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 9 in the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.

On Saturday, Dec. 10, she attends a morning reception for U.S. business leaders at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.

Browner and Attorney General Janet Reno will co-host a lunch on Saturday, Dec. 10 for private sector leaders at the Intercontinental Hotel in Miami.

Browner will brief reporters at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the International Media Center located in Terminal 2 of the Port of Miami.
