Administrator Mike Leavitt Announces Largest Round Ever of Brownfields Revitalization Grants

(Washington, D.C.- June 14, 2004) As part of EPA’s efforts to promote economic revitalization while safeguarding the environment and public health, EPA Administrator Mike Leavitt will tomorrow announce 265 Brownfields grants for 42 states, Puerto Rico and five tribes. The announcement will be made in Milwaukee.

      What: Announce largest round ever of Brownfields revitalization grants
      When: Tuesday, June 15, 9 a.m. (Central Time)
      Where: The former Ampco Metal Inc. facility, 1745 S. 38th St., in Milwaukee.

Directions: From I-94, exit at Miller Park Way going south. Turn left at Mitchell Street and proceed ½ block. Enter the property by turning right through the construction gates on Mitchell. Park beyond the gate.
