Welcome to the Drinking Water Academys Electronic Workshop.
The Workshop contains three types of information:
- Training modules
- Short presentations
- Links to other information sources
The self-paced training modules give a broad introduction to the
many facets of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA). Although live
training courses are the best training experience, DWAs
limited budget can only support a small number of classes each year.
Through the Internet, the DWA can reach many more people with SDWA
information based on our training courses.
State, Tribal and EPA Regional staff can access the training modules
at any time. They can view them on-line or download them for
later review. In addition, water system operators, college
students, professors, and others in the drinking water community
have the same access to these materials. The DWA invites all interested
parties to freely use these DWA materials. With few exceptions
(e.g., copyrighted graphics we have reproduced only with permission)
DWA modules are in the public domain and may be downloaded, reproduced,
and modified for your own use.
The short presentations are intended primarily for the use of Federal
and State regulatory staff. These presentations provide a
quick overview of proposed and final rules. They can be used
as a starting point for preparing briefings or other information
materials.
Finally, the Workshop provides links to other pages in OGWDW's
Web site where you can obtain regulatory and implementation information.
The training materials and presentations are in PowerPointŪ (PPT)
and/or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) files. (You can
download free viewers for these files at http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx
and http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html,
respectively.)
