Customized Query Engine

This query engine allows you select any data element in TRI to build a tabular report or a Comma Separated Value (CSV) file for downloading.

There are four steps to using this query engine:

  1. Select one or more of the subjects listed below, one at a time.
  2. Select your tables of interest from the subjects selected.
  3. Select columns (data elements or fields) from the selected tables.
  4. Enter your search criteria to target specific records from the database.

The Customized Query Engine User's Guide will provide you with detailed information on how to use the Customized Query Engine.

Step 1: Start by selecting one subject to be the primary focus of your query.

 

Facility Information Address and other location information about the facility.
Form R Reporting Form Information Contains Chemical Name, TRI Chemical ID Number (i.e. CAS Number) , and Reporting Year. Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Form (EPA Form R) submitted annually for each toxic chemical manufactured, processed, or used at each facility. Form R Part 1. Sections 1; 2.1; 2.2; 3 ( column 1-3 across); 4.2 (a, b ); 4.3, 4.4; 4.10; Part 11. Sections 2.1; 4.1; 8.8; 8.9; 8.11.
Release Information for Water, Air, Surface and Underground Injection Total air emissions and releases to surface, land and underground injection, distinguished by the environmental medium code (AIR FUG, WATER, etc.).
Stream and Water Information Stream or water body receiving the discharged chemical when the release is to water.
Source Reduction Information Annual quantities of the chemical associated with all source reduction and recycling activities, on-site and off-site. Also provides source reduction activities used at the facility on the chemical, and the methods used to identify the activities.
Off-Site Transfer Information Toxic chemical in wastes transferred to an off-site location, other than a Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) facility. Also provides identification and location information on the off-site location.
POTW Information Toxic chemical wastes transferred off-site to a Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) facility, along with the POTW facility's identification and location information such as name and address.
Facility History Information about a facility's parent company or past history.
On-Site Waste-Stream Information On-site treatment methods for toxic chemical waste streams.
Energy Recovery Energy recovery processes for an on-site chemical.
Recycling Process Recycling processes for an on-site chemical.
Chemical Activity Toxic chemical processing, manufacturing and usage activity.
Chemical Information Chemical Information about the toxic chemicals, including name and chemical ID, on the TRI List.
Zipcode and County Information Zip Code Reference Information including cities and counties within a zipcode.
Code Description Descriptions of code values.
Facility Summary Summary of release estimates statistics categorized by chemical and reporting year.
State Chemical Summary Summary of release estimates categorized by State, chemical, and reporting year.
State Summary Summary of release estimates statistics categorized by release or transfer type (Air stack, Air fugitive, water, land, etc) and reporting year.
Current DB Identification Numbers EPA's Current Dun and Bradstreet (DB) ID Number associated with the facility.
DB Identification History Dun and Bradstreet Numbers associated with the facility in previous years.
Current Facility NPDES ID Numbers EPA's Current Water Program ID and Name for the facility.
Facility NPDES ID History Water Program IDs and Names associated with the facility in previous years.
Current RCRA Identification Numbers EPA's Current Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) ID Number for the facility.
RCRA Identification History Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) ID Numbers associated with the facility in previous years.
Current Standard Industrial Classification Code(s) EPA's Current Standard Industrial Classification Code(s) associated with the facility.
Standard Industrial Classification Code History Standard Industrial Classification Code(s) associated with the facility in previous years.
Submission SIC Codes Standard Industrial Classification Code(s) provided by the facility for a Toxic Chemical Release Inventory Reporting Form (EPA Form R), which is submitted annually.
UIC Identification Numbers Representation of facility underground injection well code data.
UIC Identification History Historical representation of facility underground injection well code data.
