Air Programs
EPA Region 9's Air Division manages, implements, and enforces programs covering indoor and
outdoor air quality, radiation, control of air pollution from stationary and mobile sources, stratospheric ozone protection,
and other areas. The foundation for most of these programs is the federal Clean Air Act, which became law in 1970 and was
most recently amended in 1990. Information on national air quality programs can be found by visiting the Web site of EPA's
Office of Air and Radiation.
