  Household Water Well System Program

The Household Water Well System (HWWS) Grant Program has been established to assist individuals who own or will own household water well systems. Qualified private, non-profit organizations will receive HWWS grant funds to establish a lending program to provide low-interest loans to eligible individuals. As grant recipients, the non-profit organizations will set up a revolving loan fund to provide the loans to individuals to construct, refurbish, and service individually-owned household well systems.

Note: Eligible applicants should be prepared to contribute funds from their own resources or sources other than the proceeds of the HWWS grants to pay part of the costs of the project.

The federal regulation, 7 CFR Part 1776,  for the HWWS Program was published as a Final direct rule in the FEDERAL REGISTER on October 6, 2004 (volume 69, number 193, pages 59764-59770).
