Health Tip: Acupuncture as a Cancer Treatment?

(HealthDayNews) -- Acupuncture is a technique by which thin needles are inserted into the skin at specific places to restore healthy energy flow and balance to the body.

It's used to treat a variety of conditions, but there is no evidence that acupuncture is an effective cancer treatment, the American Cancer Society says.

However, some clinical studies have found evidence that acupuncture reduces nausea caused by chemotherapy drugs and surgical anesthesia.
