Emissions Data & Compliance Reports

EPA's Clean Air Market Programs collect data from electric power plants and other generation facilities. This section of the site provides reports and visual presentations of those data.

In addition to the options above, other parts of EPA offer several publications and annual reports about progress toward reducing air pollution. In particular, the National Air Pollutant Emission Trends report provides information about emissions of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) from all sources.

Written Emission Reports and Tables

  • Compliance reports - Provides emission levels, allowances banked, and other information for each regulated unit and nationally.

  • Emissions Scorecard for units affected by the Acid Rain Program, including SO2, NOx, CO2, and Heat Input. 2001* (Updated in April 2003)

* Previous year Emissions Scorecards are no longer available. Instead, we invite you to use a powerful, new query tool that provides public access to emissions and facility/unit data for sources affected by the Acid Rain and NOx Budget Programs. Users of these new report and query capabilities can select from a number of predefined reports that return annual or ozone season emissions data, or they can create their own queries with hourly, monthly, quarterly, ozone season or annual emissions data. Other reports provide operational characteristics (i.g., unit type, fuel type, control equipment) of the units located at a given facility. Finally, users can download prepackaged files with hourly emissions data.

You can access the site by selecting Data and Maps from the left side bar of this page.

Visual Presentations

  • C-MAP
The Clean Air Mapping and Analysis Program offers maps and different GIS data sets to assess progress in reducing emissions.
