Protein Purification
Caption:
Students Eric Shephard and Eric Larson discuss protein purification in a chemistry department cold room, part of Complex Biological Systems (CBS), a multidisciplinary research curriculum at Montana State University.
The CBS curriculum uses both traditional laboratory protocols and computer modeling techniques to solve complex biological questions. CBS is a coordinated effort involving eight departments at Montana State, including chemistry and biochemistry, plant sciences, microbiology, cell biology and neurosciences, math, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and veterinary molecular biology.
This work was supported by the Montana EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) project under NSF EPSCoR Program grant 99-72824.
