Major Environmental LawsIf you're interested in becoming active in environmental, health, and community safety issues, you'll need some understanding of many of the following Federal laws. These laws, and others enacted by the States, have various requirements and are enforced by various agencies. We have presented a brief description of the intent of each law. For more details, you should obtain a copy from your local library or the relevant Federal or State agency.
